Towing: interstates + 4-lane US only. NEVER tow Blue Ridge Pkwy (10'6" tunnels), Skyline Dr, or NY parkways (low bridges — Croton via US-9). Boone leg: I-81→I-77→US-421. Maggie leg: US-321→Hickory→I-40.
Hunting (Nov MS/LA): primitive-weapon Nov 10–21, gun-with-dogs opens Nov 22 — hi-viz, no dawn/dusk gravel.
Dog: Smokies + Barataria trails ban dogs; BRP, Gettysburg, Chalmette allow leashed. Stretch loops over the 200 cap: Mt Mitchell 218 · Dragon+Cherohala 243 (or split into two days) — rider's call. Loops are OSRM-routed with shaping waypoints — distances ±10%; parkway segments verified by waypoint but double-check closures seasonally.
